Say you have the perfect Tinder profile. You have the sexy shirtless photo, the sweet picture of you and your grandmother, and that one shot where your jaw looks really chiseled and presidential. She pulled up their conversation on her phone. I was confused: Both of my friends are funny, energetic talkers. But I could see that their rapport on Tinder was, in fact, mehhhh. Tinder banter is way harder than real-life flirting, but with these six tips you, too, can become a master of chit-chat. Nice try.

Please try again later. Verified Purchase. After I read the first few pages of this book, I have already known that money was wasted on buying this book! I have however finished reading this book. I have found out that the author has absolutely no idea on what horse handicapping is! Many of his so called systems are just asking you to bet on the two highest rating horses. For example, there is a system called "Place Betting Strategy 2.

If this is system, I can write a book which tells you 1, systems as well. If you follow the author's systems and always bet on the highest rating horse, I am sure that your bankroll will be approaching zero sooner or later. The author even said that the "Parlay Staking Plan" i. If you follow this system, I am sure that you will go broke very soon. This book is really a waste of time and money. This has no value to American race fans.

This is for U. Good book for U. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. After just a few minutes of reading this, I quickly realised that this should go straight into my re-cycling bin. I then turned to the back of the book to see if there had been any attempt to show a record of the bets suggested. There wasn't of course but I did read the following truly chilling words from the author Rob Rowe. If I get enough good reviews, it might even spur me on to writing another book!

I see that this book was published by Big Idea Media. It's kind of ironic that the author actually has Little Idea about horse racing. There are in fact no systems in this book just a bunch of ideas of how to use the ratings produced by the author's website. Ratings you have to pay for naturally.

But they are all along the lines of back the top rated when it is the shortest price in the field etc. Methods guaranteed to lose you money in the long run. Although the ratings only relate to British and Irish racing, several pages have been lifted straight from an American racing website presumably to help pad the book out.

The following pearls of wisdom are offered "do they handle turf, dirt, synthetic". Er, we don't race on dirt over here Rob. Look for a bullet work before a race to show that the horse is ready". Unlike in the states we do not train at the track so you can search all day but you won't find a "bullet work" anywhere in this country. But my favourite or favorite as shown here is "Is the horse adding medication today like Salix?.

Horses first time medicated with the anti bleeding medication Salix deserve a second look". Not only have you plagiarised a whole part of your book, but you have also shown that you are a dyslexic plagiarist. We also happen to take a dim view of people over here who administer drugs to enhance performance such as Lasix. No if you are looking for a book on horse racing systems look at any of the following. But this book, well this book wouldn't win a donkey derby. This book contains 47 "horse racing betting systems" - basically, a set of criteria to narrow down the myriad of horses, to a handful of bets.

Some are quite obscure, and wouldn't lead to many bets, whilst others will see you placing quite a few bets every day. What I liked about Rob's book is that you don't have to follow all 47 systems in fact, he advises you NOT to! As betting books go, this is one of the more detailed. Many of the systems use Rob's "Form Ratings" software to narrow selections down automatically - this is an additional paid service, but doesn't cost very much, and you should make that back very easily once you find the betting systems that work for you.

Images in this review. For the price in lockdown it passes some time. Arrived with Gusto from Amazon as always. One person found this helpful. Only a small part of this is free, so unless you are prepared to pay most of the information required to follow the systems described is not accessible.

It's probably if not the best, it runs very close. It wont make you rich, but it will definitely point you in the right direction! After only a few days it's paid for itself. I couldn't give a better rating than five stars, but if I could I would give it 10 stars! Thank you Rob and all involved in producing this wonderful book! For those readers living in the European Union or some parts of Asia, Bet is the best betting site for horse racing you can select. One of the most popular betting destinations online in the UK and most of Europe, Bet has a real stronghold over the horse racing market, going as far as to guarantee the best horse racing odds to their customers, not only on the big races, but on almost every horse race they offer odds on, no matter where in the world it takes place.

Unfortunately for a large segment of the betting market this sportsbook remains closed, therefore it comes presented here as just an additional option. Of course, all the sportsbook we list on our website have an option to get on horse racing, but truth be told, those racebooks are only active when the popular races come along, for example the Triple Crown and more exact, the Kentucky Derby, while the smaller daily horse races are not represented through the year.

But sometimes the managers of those sportsbooks will send out special bonuses for upcoming horse races, so if you get a particularly good offer - don't hesitate to take it. No matter how much of an expert you are on a given subject, there is always the opportunity to develop new skills and understand certain things that you may not have understood before.

Looking at the impact randomness plays in our day-to-day lives, it proposes that human beings often fail to recognise randomness and instead conclude that chance happenings actually have some logic behind them. The book was written with the financial world in mind, but Taleb's insights apply just as well to betting, which is similarly based around ideas of chance and probability.

Released in , Fooled by Randomness is the first part of a five-book series that collectively goes under the name Incerto. Hitting shelves in , Thinking, Fast and Slow is written by Daniel Kahneman , a psychologist and economist who has specialised in behavioural economics and how human beings make decisions.

The book is the culmination of decades of research Kahneman conducted alongside the cognitive and mathematical psychologist Amos Tversky. In it, Kahneman explores two systems of thought. The first is fast and instinctive, and allows us to do quite easy things, like solve simple sums and locate the source of a sound, amongst other things. The second is slower, requires more effort and allows us to do things like park in tight spaces and solve complex equations.

Ultimately, the book is about reasoning and lack of reasoning and how they inform decision-making across everything from the financial markets to, of course, betting. Best known as the founder and editor-in-chief of the politics, economics and sports website FiveThirtyEight, Nate Silver is also an author and his book, The Signal and The Noise , became something of a sensation when it was released in Using real life case studies from across the worlds of elections, weather forecasting, baseball and poker, The Signal and the Noise explores mathematical model building based around probability and statistics.
